The guest of honour at the ceremony was the Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Tawih bin Abdullah, who presented the certificates. In his speech, the deputy commander highlighted that the aim of facilitating and completing the course is to improve participants' English language skills and proficiency to allow for more effective communications between the nations involved so that bilateral relations and defence diplomacy are enhanced. He noted that since the inception ofthe course in 2010, the institute has received a positive response from other countries. On behalf of the participants, Major Sayasone Boun Nhou conveyed his gratitude and appreciation to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for helping improve their English language skills for improved inter-nation communications. The award for 'Best Oral Presentation' went to Aspirant Bou Chankolrath of the Royal Cambodia Armed Forces, while the 'Overall Best Student' award went to Sergeant Chantha Sothearith, also representing the Royal Cambodia Armed Forces.
